HARTFORD – October 16, 2013 – Working together with community leaders from Hartford’s Neighborhood Revitalization Zones (NRZs), the Hartford Parking Authority (HPA) is reaching out to residents, employees, visitors and business owners throughout the City to learn more about specific parking preferences in Hartford’s neighborhoods. This information will support HPA in its mission and initiatives to better serve parkers Citywide. The parking survey containing 12 questions will take five to ten minutes of time to complete. The questionnaire is available online at www.hartfordparking.com, as well as on paper in both English and Spanish at neighborhood branches of the Hartford Public Library through October 31st.
“It is essential for the Hartford Parking Authority to stay as informed about parking concerns and ideas throughout Hartford as it can be,” said Carey Redd, HPA Acting Executive Director/CEO. “The knowledge gained directly from City parkers will guide us to be even more helpful in making our neighborhoods great places to live, work and play,” Redd continued.
“The Hartford Parking Authority’s initiatives are closely aligned with the City’s efforts to fully understand quality-of-life needs in each of the neighborhoods,” commented Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra. “I encourage City dwellers, workers and visitors, as well as businesses and other employers, to provide feedback through the parking survey, so that HPA can best prioritize needs and design innovative solutions to make parking in Hartford convenient, fairly priced and available to all,” Segarra added.
