How to Pay for Parking

On-street metered parking can be found throughout the City of Hartford. It can be identified by signage, line markings, and the presence of parking meters.

Information on parking rates and accepted forms of payment is posted on the parking meter for your convenience.

Please be sure to review all signage in the area to confirm parking restrictions.

Please note that metered parking must be paid for the correct zone in which the vehicle is located. Parking sessions are not transferable between parking zones or vehicles.

If you have any questions regarding on-street parking, signage, payment via meter or the Woonerf app, or anything else related to parking in the City of Hartford, call us at
(860) 757-0730.

When entering your license plate number into the Woonerf app or at the parking meter, please be sure to include only the letters and numbers on the license plate.
Do not include hyphens, spaces,
or dots. Please be sure to double check the submitted license plate number before completing the transaction. If the submitted license plate number does not match the license plate on the vehicle, a citation may be issued.

Parking regulations are only in effect at specific times and on specific days, as indicated on the signs posted on each street or block. If parking is prohibited during specific hours on a street or block, your vehicle will be in violation even if the time has not expired on the receipt displayed in your vehicle’s curbside windshield. Parking Pay Stations will not operate during the restricted time and will flash a “No Parking” message on the display.
