  • On Street Parking

HPA invites you to consider us “your place for a space!”

We are focused on providing you with customer-first, customer-friendly service. HPA strives to offer the best value for parking in the City, to make our services as accessible and convenient as possible, and to provide help with resolving complaints and payments/appeals of parking citations.

The Hartford Parking Authority is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the parking meters throughout the City of Hartford. By using Parking Pay Stations (P&D) to set time limits, we increase the number of motorists who can use a single parking space during the course of a day. This increases parking opportunities for everyone and supports the growth of business in our city and neighborhoods.

Beginning Tuesday, February 14, 2022

Hartford Parking Authority (HPA) will resume limited evening and weekend parking enforcement.
During this shift, HPA will concentrate on ordinances that impact health and safety, such as:

  • Parking in fire hydrant zones
  • Blocked driveways
  • Double parking (impeding traffic)
  • Parking in Bus Stop lanes
  • Handicap zones/spaces
  • No Parking tow zones
  • Neighborhoods odd-even parking
  • Tractor/semi-trailer parking
  • Bike lane enforcement
