City of Hartford Sanitation & Parking

As part of a City-wide initiative to improve waste collection and street cleaning operations, the Department of Public Works, with support by the Hartford Parking Authority, has been installing and replacing sanitation signage. This project was designed to correct long-standing issues with existing signage, which have been a source of confusion for many residents due to sign removal, damage, and fading.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR?

New sanitation signage installed and replaced on your sanitation route.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

On your neighborhood’s sanitation operations day, all vehicles must be parked off-street to allow for waste collections and street sweeping. For individuals without available off-street parking, DPW has designated “safe parking zones”
